CEA is an Australian company pursuing opportunities to develop technology to upgrade Victorian brown coal in the Latrobe Valley and create projects of national and international significance.
Our current projects include a demonstration low emission pyrolysis plant in the Latrobe Valley that will use Victorian brown coal to create cleaner, more efficient products for industries including manufacturing, construction and agriculture. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process to remove moisture from brown coal.
We are also exploring the production of hydrogen in the Latrobe Valley. Hydrogen has more than twice the energy and equivalent mass of natural gas. In addition to being emission-free, it is a powerful energy that can be produced from diverse domestic energy sources, including brown coal.
